Hi! I’m Julia, the heart behind Rebalance Traditional Chinese Medicine in South Morang. As a registered Acupuncturist and Doctor of Chinese Medicine, I am deeply passionate about women’s health—especially supporting clients through every step of their fertility, pregnancy, and postnatal journeys. While reproductive health is a core focus of my practice, I warmly welcome clients of all ages and genders who are seeking a natural, balanced path to wellness.

My Journey into Traditional Chinese Medicine

My path to becoming a practitioner wasn’t a straight line—it began with my own personal healing. At 19, I survived a serious car accident that left me with major physical trauma: a jaw broken in five places, a fractured collarbone, and significant spinal misalignment. The physical recovery was intense, and nine months of continuous antibiotics severely compromised my immune system, leading to chronic health struggles and PTSD.

During my daily recovery treatments, my chiropractor introduced me to a Chinese Medicine practitioner. Working together, these two disciplines literally put me back together.

Years later, while working demanding hours in Switzerland, health challenges prompted me to reconsider my career. When reflecting on what had truly transformed my life, my mind kept returning to the profound healing I experienced through Chinese Medicine. As I researched Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), I felt undeniable “butterflies”—I knew I had found my true calling.

In 2008, I took a leap of faith, resigned from my position in Switzerland as a Pathology Technician  and returned to Australia to study. I moved from Perth to Melbourne in 2009 to complete five years of rigorous clinical education in the TCM program at RMIT University.

Over 13 Years of Clinical Care in Melbourne

For over 13 years, I’ve had the absolute privilege of practicing Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture in Melbourne. It fills my heart to support individuals and couples in achieving their health goals—whether that means assisting with natural fertility and IVF support, guiding expecting mothers with acupressure for birth, or helping clients navigate chronic stress and pain. Moments like celebrating new baby arrivals and watching clients reclaim their vitality reaffirm every single day that following those butterflies was the best decision I ever made.
